"Piri comes from the word Piri-Piri, which is a hot sauce prepared from tiny but explosive malagueta - an African bird's eye chili pepper well known and widely used in Portugal.  The Q is short for BBQ; hence, the restaurant's name. Portuguese chicken and ribs are offered in an unpretentious and comfortable space. The affordable gourmet quality food can be enjoyed in a casual and relaxed atmosphere. The lunch and dinner menu is considered traditional with a few creative touches. The house specialty "Frango", chicken on the bone marinated with traditional Portuguese seasoning and roasted over a wood charcoal fire. Another specialty is the pork ribs, slow cooked, smoked and grilled to perfection. Bitoque, a popular and traditional dish consists of char-grilled choice steak served over Portuguese chips and topped with a fried egg in a garlic sauce. Another wonderful menu choice is the paelha, at Piri-Q you can choose from three different varieties: seafood, chicken or vegetarian." Piri-Q is currently working towards obtaining a liquor license but alcohol beverage service is not available at this time (August 2011).
